Can an extractor fan be wired to a plug to remove smoke from a smoking shed

Can a fan be wired into an ordinary plug to remove smoke from a shed used to smoke cigarettes in?

Not exactly ideal, but yes you could. Remember to put a 3 amp fuse in the plug top.

As stated above, yes it can be, though not ideal. Permanent equipment should be hard wired, although that being said a plug and socket performs the same tasks as alternatives (isolation and circuit protection). Flexible wiring should also be used due to vibration. Regards Ben
