Plumbing

Lack of hot water in 2 outlets

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.42 PM

Recently had some new plumbing done in a shower room and the kitchen but now the hot water isn’t getting very hot, only from the new piping. Anything I can do to correct this? There is a hot water tank and every other outlet is fine. Any help greatly appreciated.

The plumber may have also fitted a temperature mixture valve or TMV. This pre-mixes the hot and cold water so that what you get actually out of the hot tap is a predetermined temperature. Follow the pipe back from the tap and see if it goes into anything that may look like it mixes with the cold.
