I currently have my tv on the left hand side of my lounge next to my fire surround. I want move the tv to the right hand side of my fire surround, so I need the tv ariel socket and sky cable moving. Its about 5 metres away to other side of my lounge which is an external wall. We have a concrete floor so the cables would probably have to be extended outside and re-drilled into the wall in the new position. I would also need the existing single plug socket to be changed into a double. My husband thinks its a big job and would cost a fortune. I on the other hand I think a skilled electrician would find this a pretty easy job, who is right? Fingers crossed it's me and I'll have a place for my new sofa.
Extending along the outside wall and through into the room is an easy job so long as you have the right tools such as long masonary bits for the drilling. As for the outlet if it is a sit against the wall box that is also simple and would not take long at all. You could have a sunken box so the outlet plate sits flush with the wall but it would take a little longer to install. Hope that helps
