Installing gas central heating system
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.42 PM
Hi All, I am about to buy a 1930s house in Gillingham, Kent which requires updating. It needs gas central heating and my question is: as the property already has gas supply for a gas cooker do I need to bring a gas connection for the gas central heating? Thanks in advance

Hi You will need to supply gas to the boiler, this can be done from the supply already in the house. You will need a Gas Safe engineer to correctly size the pipework from the meter to all appliances to ensure that the demand from all appliances is met. This is not too much trouble and should be included in the cost of a fresh install. If you need any further advice once you have the house please feel free to get in touch. Good luck with your new home. Regards Dave
