When getting a full side extension to house, should external bricks be taken off before kit put up?

Getting the full side of my house extended upper and lower lever. However builder has only removed some of the external brick exposing breeze blocks. And has nailed extension kit into old existing wall. When should all the external bricks be taken off and how sturdy will the extension be if some of the kit nailed into existing bricks? All work that has been completed so far is to the architect’s specifications. I’m just not sure of when old existing wall will be removed since there is a wooden frame attached some of it.

Hi Daisy, Extensions are usually built to a set of drawings and Specifications and check at various milestones by building control. Is this not how you are proceeding with yours. Regards Chris
