Can you lay lay porcelain tiles on top of high density plaster board floor?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.18 PM

Hi I'm having my floor sound proofed and the top layer is 19mm high density plaster board plank, can you lay lay porcelain tiles on top of the high density plaster board floor directly? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, i would use a hardie backer board or equivalent on top of your plank board and be sure that joints and perimeters of walls and floor are sealed. Good Luck Chris
