Turning utilities on in repo property
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.42 PM
Have just purchased a property which was repossessed so all water drained down & utilities disconnected. The property is a shell with nothing in the kitchen except a sink and some unit skeletons. My question is - is there any issue turning on the gas/elec/water before I have an oven / washing machine? Are there likely to be any open gas lines / water pipes from the previous equipment which may leak ..?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Gal,
My advice is to have all your services checked and certified for use by qualified trades persons before using them, this will reduce the risk of incident arising from faulty gas, water or electrical services.
Good Luck
Chris
