Painting over magnolia with Leyland Sunkiss (light yellow) How many coats?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.40 PM

Hi We moved into our new build property 7 years ago, and the walls are the original magnolia colour. I want to paint over that using Leyland Sinkiss Silk Emulsion (a very light yellow) (my Wife wanted silk, so I blame her)! and am wondering if I will get away with one coat? Or should it be two? There are 3 quite large walls to do. There is another long main wall were the telly and all that is, but that has already been done in Leyland colour white silk. Thank you in advance for your help. Kenny

I think its one of those misomer myths that vinyl silk doesnt cover as well as matt. Stick to what you have and give it 2 coats. Coverage and obliteration is down to the quality of the paint not its finish sheen level
