Removal of wall separating kitchen from front door

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.40 PM

Hi, I understand that there is fire regulation in place that can restrict the removal of a wall separating a kitchen from the property's entrance door. I have a flat in which the kitchen is currently separated from the entrance hallway by a stud wall, but would like this removed. - Am I able to do this? - If some form of separator is still required, is it possible to replace this with a glass wall? - Will builders not remove such a wall if it violates regulation? - Are there other options/alternatives? Thank you in advance Bruno

It's not my area of expertise but this link to planning should provide some guidance. https://www.planningportal.co.uk/info/200130/common_projects/33/internal_walls/3
