How to remove a huge deck and lots of concrete when your only access is through the garage
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM
We have moved into a house with an huge raised deck we want to remove it but fear the reason it’s so high is the old outbuilding is broken up and underneath it. There is no side access to the house. There is a crop field behind us. Trying to work out the pros and cons of having to break the rubble into smaller pieces and barrow it through the garage to a skip(s) hundends of times or if we could get access get someone to take down the back fence and in essence scoop it from the field side.scared this might cost the earth,
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi
We would highly reccomend using a grab loader not skips! Skips are expensive at circa £240 for a 6 yard skip a grab loader with mixed waste (not paper or general home waste) would be circa £400 but carries 2.5 skips per load

Hi Feel Free to call us and we can tell you the best method, it sounds like grab would be the best option for this.

Could you take out a fence panel and go through next door?
However if you have a garage that's the way we would go.
A grab lorry is ok for soil or rubble but they won't take decking.
We would clear the lot with our lorry!
