Sewer smell in kitchen and hall way

Hi there. Every now and then we get a really bad smell (rotten/rubbish/Sewer smell) the smell mainly comes from the kitchen then spreads into the hall way. The smell would stay for a bit then go away. I’m not sure if this is a plumbing or guttering query! Thanks in advance Zaine

It sounds like your Sink needs a complete Clean. Take the trap off and replace it. Plus flush out the waste pipes.
