Hi yes a dry wall can hold the weight as long as you use plaster board fixings and no nails or an adhesive on the back of the bracket when securing it.

Hello drywall usually has 400mm centre or 16” centre timber or metal studs, if you haven’t already fitted pipework yet you may be able to position one or two brackets right on a stud each depending on position but the best advice I can give you is to find position of brackets if there is no stud behind one but not both you can use plasterboard fixings which come in a 2 piece kit one auger type screw which screws firmly into board and then another pan head type screw which screws into first fixing through your bracket if possible put 3 for each bracket if both are missing any stud you should get grounds fitted by a carpenter / Joiner who should be able to leave it as was apart from another coat of jointing /finishing compound. But this is a considerable weight and it would not be able to hold it on its own at least safely it can’t. Hope this helps Gordon Loughview Joinery & Construction LTD.

yes, but you will need a ply patress or something solid in between your studs to spread the weight of anything you fix to it. If its timber studwork you can use a solid nogging or ply. If its metal frame studwork ply in between the studs

Yes you can, I would recommend using plasterboard fixings but the type you need a gun device to crimp them up inside the wall.
