length of side return extension on semi detached house and drains

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM

Looking at the location of soil down pipe from upstairs bathroom toilet, when considering the size of kitchen side return extension. Is it easier/preferable to have a smaller extension and have the end wall before the down soil pipe- trying to avoid it, or go half a metre beyond the pipe/ doesn't it matter. Not sure what you do about drains etc?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You can have what you like, your builders will advise you the best way to connect new drains. I take it that the soil pipe will be within the new extension. they can box that in. Or depending on the extension divert the existing soil pipe. Would need a site visit but advice have the extension the biggest size you want and let the architect and builder worry about all that, that is their job. Good luck with the project
