Knock through extension on a wimpey fines house
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM
Looking to do a ground floor extension on the back to make a large kitchen diner I've read up that it can get a bit more complicated knocking through can it be done and if so will it cost a lot more to do than if say you were doing to a traditional brick and block house
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Not sure what a Wimpey Fines home is but in either case you need to employ a structural engineer to do some calculations and submit these to building control. Can’t see the job itself being any more difficult either way.
