Smoothing external tyrolean render

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.18 PM

HI, The back of my house is covered with a spikey render, which I believe is a tyrolean render. Is there any cost effective way to smooth this ? I'm not a fan of the texture and I want to paint the entire of the back of the house a new colour. The more expensive way is, I'm assuming, to have the entier back of the house re-rendered smooth. However, is there a tool that could be used to smooth the existing render so it can be painted and would this be a viable option ? Edit: Could an angle grinder with a concrete griding disk work for this purpose ? Thanks, Toby

There is no way angle grinding will help you out.. unfortunately the only way to achieve your finish is re render Sorry😞
