Gas Works

Gas Safe Certificate

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM

Hi, I recently had a new boiler fitted and put in a new location in the kitchen. Unfortunately, due to a breakdown of communication, I have been unable to get hold of the GAS Safe certificate from the engineer who did it! How easy is it to get someone out to check the boiler and issue a certificate? Thanks!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

When you have a new boiler installed you should also get a building compliance cert. Sometimes the boiler manufacturers will issue one when the boiler gaurentee is registered. If not then the installer can issue one via the gas safe website. He needs to be gas safe registered obviously!!!!! When it comes to selling the property the solicitor will ask for the building compliance cert for the boiler.

It’s very easy to get a landlord/home owner gas safety certified. any gas safe registered engineer can issue it if the boiler passes the safety checks and is safe to use.
