Unknown source of leak into garage

Ere is a ground level leak to the rear of a large double garage which has a room built above, rather like a house. The building is built into an earth bank to one side. Just bought the house, previous owner claims no knowledge of historic leaks! Cannot find source of leak. Any advice is appreciated.

If the water Ingres is coming from around the wall that’s close to the embankment that you’re garage is built into it could be the Damp proof membrane has failed in some way or it may not have been installed in the first place.
