can the attic water tanks and pipes be taken out?

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM

HI, in my two story house there was a combi boiler system; later switched to a condensing one. All works fine. I was sorting a cupboard in the attic and discovered 2 x plastic water tanks, with various pipes in and out of both, and a ball buoy (sorry dont know term) in one. Can I remove these tanks? Some of the pipes look like they are already capped and/or disconnected. There are copper pipes and a large plastic pipe that ran along, seemingly going nowhere! thanks.

HI as long as you have a combi boiler you don't need the tanks in the loft and they can be removed as long as the tanks are empty and the pipes are not live. you need to consult with a competent plumber to check the system. Hope the answer was helpful. Regards Eric
