Can i stick wood planks to clay bricks
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.39 PM
I wanted to lay 6 x 2 planks on top of a wall built with hand pressed clay bricks, the idea being to used the wood instead of coping stones/bricks. What can i used to create a bond, i have searched and only come up with CT1 any advice would be appreciated. An Alternative maybe to use slat tiles !

CT1 WOULD BY FAR BE YOUR BEST OPTION. IT OR TEC7 ARE FANTASTIC ADHESIVES

yes whilst CT1 would probably work as a means of adhering the timber to the brickwork, i would still suggest using your alternative method of using tiles. Simply because the 'coping stones' that would conventionally be used serve a purpose of protecting the brickwork from the affects of weathering, to some extent. however, this level of protection would not be gained by using a timber substitute.
