Bricklaying & Repointing

Neighbours dart board noise echoing around my home

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM

The apartment building I live in has concrete covered breeze blocks so I just found, not brick work with cavity walls as I thought. The neighbours have a Dart board glued to the opposite wall not the adjacent wall between our 2 properties, and the noise is hell!! I've asked them politely to please resolve peacefully the matter but no luck at all. tIs housing association property so eventually I had to call the housing officer out and of course they denied having 18 hour darts marathons, but admitted they play darts. The housing officer is not having it that the level of sound coming form the board is basically making my life hell as its not on the adjacent wall even though another neighbour is willing to back my complaint up. Can anyone please explain why its so loud, so I can go back to the officer with a validated explanations and proof that its way too loud in my home regardless of where the boards situated. Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Ask them to put it on another wall or put sound proofing plaster board on the wall in question and have it skimmed and painted to prevent the noise
