Rotten Joist in ceiling of flat roof extension
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.41 PM
So I've bought a house and they did a good job of hiding a previous leak to a flat roof which has revealed a partially rotten ceiling and also a joist that is badly rotten. Newly applied polystyrene ceiling tiles we removed revealed the issue. Question is...is this a job for a joiner or builder (assuming joiner)? Thanks

I would call a builder taking any part of roof out , the roof May need supporting while you remove the timber the builder will also be able to put the ceiling back together for you
Thanks sam

Definitely a Builkder
not only can there be a problem in the structure itself but also with the roof covering
Please contact the builder who deals with the whole construction of building
