Skim over existing or remove and replaster?

Hello, we are renovating a 1930's property and I have removed the plaster from most of the walls all the way down to the bricks, but the plaster on a few walls seems to be decent with only minor hairline cracks (after removing wood-chip wallpaper). When it comes down to cost, what would be the cost difference in PVA/Thistle-Bond-It followed by 2 layers of skim over existing plaster, or new wet plastering, ready for painting, over brickwork (assuming I undertake removal of old plaster)? For simplicity lets suppose we have a 4x4m wall. I am just wondering if it's worth leaving the existing plaster on or wet plaster as new.
