Can u fit dry verge to an exsisting rosemary tiled canopy roof above a garage as some of the mortar has failed

Hi, yes you can have a dry verge system fitted to Rosemary tiles, You would require a Manthorpe smartVerge Linear system, pretty simple to install. Tiles and original mortar on the verge would require removing and if the roof battens don’t quite reach the gable wall these would require extending flush with the gable. Then a 50mm x 25mm batten fixed to the roof battens or extended battens then re tile the tiles removed, if the tiles overhang the batten fixed up the gable then the tiles would require cutting flush with this. Then the linear Verge are simply screwed into the frame, they’re around 750mm long so cover quite a lot. I’ve fitted lots of these and they look really neat and finish the roof off nicely with no maintenance.
