Replacement of ceramic top electric hobs

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.17 PM

Hi, the ceramic top electric hobs (Baumatic, 60cm) in my kitchen has broken with cracked ceramic, so I am looking to replace it with something similar. Are there any electricians who would provide installation with discounted rate of purchasing the electric hobs? Or should I buy the electric hobs and then find an electrician to fit it separately? Also any brand of ceramic top electric hobs you would recommend or avoid? many thanks for your advice, cheers, YL

How do you come to the conclusion that it would be purchased at a discount? Just curious as it costs what it costs, also the electrician would be buying it up front, unless you give him the money first. Much better if you bought the hob of your choice and get an electrician to fit it.

As per the previous response you would be much better off purchasing the hob of your choice ensuring that it’s the same size as the previous faulty one and then contacting a electrician to connect it safely, I would personally avoid any ceramic hobs from Howdens, from my previous experience they don’t seem to have a very long life span.
