Advice - Remove toilet seat with rubber screw (instead of usual plastic)

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.17 PM

Hi, I am trying to remove a toilet seat so I can replace it. The problem is that the screw underneath is not the usual plastic one, but a rubber one that is very difficult to shift. Can anyone advise how I can move it? Thanks, Fraser.

Hi fraser, Sound like it it actually screwed from the top of the wc pan, and the black rubber screw is an expantion fixing, there should be a removable cover on the seat hinges to expose the screw which need to be removed and the rubber insert pulled out to install the new seat :) Hope this helps :)
