Fixing plasterboard to plasterboard
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.40 PM
My walls are 12.5mm plasterboard dot and dabbed to blockwork. Struggling to remove x amount of layers of painted wallpaper I am going to overboard them instead with 12.5mm or 9.5mm plasterboard. What is the best method for doing this? Can they just be screwed to the existing plasterboard? Would they pull the old boards off the blockwork? Is there a glue or adhesive to be used instead of screws or as well as? Do I need to fix them through to the blockwork? I am looking for the option that takes up the least space and without removing the old boards. The walls will be plastered after. Thanks in advance.
