Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.17 PM

Not sure what kind of tradesman does the knocking of bricks to create a bigger fire place for a log burner to sit in? How much would is it and how mich roughly would it be? Also would like to know who to call to then install the log burner Thank you

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

In order to make a bigger hole, concrete lintel would be required, yielding a minimum cost of £300. Any regular builder should be able to do this. Installation of the log burner would have to be done by a professional fireplace installer. Hope this helps.

If there is a fireplace there already, then there should be a lintel already in place. A fireplace can be widened to within a few bricks of the current lintel
