New radiator pipes in concrete flat - chase or box in?

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.57 PM

I'm going to install a new combi boiler in my flat and change the whole radiaitor circuit. The plumbers have offered me two separate estimates - one to chase the walls and keep the new pipes there or two - leave them on the surface and box them in. They did day with option two, the box will come out at about half an inch. If cost was not an issue, which option would you go for and why?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Box them in everytime with a good brand of pipe covering fitted well. Chasing in is very messy, means redecorating and is a Nightmere if you ever want to change or extend the system.
