Lean to canopy on hip roof bungalow
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.38 PM
I am looking to fit a polycarbonate/aluminium canopy to the back of our bungalow and would like to know if there is any reason that I cannot fit it to the eaves? All of the examples that I have seen fit the lean to roof to brickwork but, if I can, i'd like to get the bit of extra height. The most simple way to achieve this would be to fit the roof of the lean to under the existing guttering on the roof. Any advice would be welcomed.

i Assume your talking just under the eaves which would mean the facia , that being said the facia is only fixed to the end of each roof rafter . Depending on the weight I wouldn’t recommend fixing to the facia . A wall plate fixed to existing brickwork would be your best bet
