Banging pipes continues when the stop cock is closed and no water in system

2 plumbers confirm that the banging pipes is not coming from Our house and thames water say it is! No one seems to be able to solve it!!

Are you sure its not your heating/boiler?
A term we call 'kettleing' can produce a similar noise!
