Blocked Down Pipe

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.40 PM

Hi, after having some building work done, I suspect that one of the down pipes may be blocked. The water is running out slowly and to one side, the gutters are not overflowing. It is a bungalow and I am wondering what would be the best way to try and clear it, or do you think being as the water is still running out slowly it will be ok to leave? Thanks.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi my name is Len. Here at lens roofing and building services we specialize in guttering and my suggestion to you would be to take the down pipe off completely and flush it through will a drain rod and hose pipe. If this fails to work you would need a new down pipe. In the recent weather conditions it will be fine draining slowly but when the bad weather comes it will back fill. Hope this helps you cheers

My name John from FairTrade Roofing and Building Solutions,I recommend to Disconnect your Downpipe flush it through with a drain rod and get your hose pipe and run it through if it still running slowly through 1 side you will probably need a new 1 as when the weather gets really bad it may cause you a problem and back fill. Hopefully this might help you
