Ideas to fill gap around 15 cm extractor fan....

... placed in where existing old cavity vent used to be. The bathroom was tiled around the old vent and the plumber then, used a plastic sliding vent that is around 22cm square. I have no spare tiles and wondered what could be used to be as neat as possible around the new fan in the existing tling. The electrician is employing someone to plasterboard in a plate, then he suggests a plastic sheet. I'm not planning in changing the bathroom anytime soon so wondered if anyone has any ideas?

We would use a plastic cloaking fillet to go around fan to match existing colour of tiles
