There is the electrics to consider along with any chimney present and then replastering any holes in the wall. Thanks for your help.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

To remove electric fireplace you nees a general trader that can dismantle the fireplace and do the plastering.
Disconnecting an electric fireplace does not need a qualified electrician un less yoh need major electrical jobs done.
The isolation of the power line can be done easily.
Just make sure the main switch of the fuse board is down so no power is on when do it.
You can isolate the wiring using proper end connector and fit it in a box or disconnect it from the fuse board so no power will be present all the time.
If yoh want to use that power source for a socket consider to use a qualified electrician.
Also if you are gonna rent your home all electrical or gas jobs have to be done by a qualified electrician or gas technician.
