Gas Works

can you run a combi boiler and a gas cooker from one 22mm gas pipe

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

i want to have a gas cooker in a new kitchen but the only gas supply at present is a 22mm pipe from the meter to the boiler(ecovaillent). Do I have to install a separate gas supply from the meter.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It all depends on the KW rating of both of the appliances and the pipe run length. Normally in domestic properties, the answer to your question would be yes, you can cut a tee into the pipe and run the pipe to the location of your cooker. But pipe sizing calculations will need to be done before starting any work. Hope this helps.

Hi Ken Based on the information provided, it should be fine to install a cooker teeing into the 22mm pipe gas pipe. We have done this on several jobs and have never had an issue, Kind Regard Mark
