Issues with base of wooden garage (water ingress); requires sealing. Also gutter needs adjusted.

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.37 PM

We recently had a wooden garage built - it was constructed on top of an existing concrete slab. There have been issues of rainwater getting in underneath the base, which has resulted in some mould on the inside. It looks like the screed the builder put down is no good (as it has dried, there's a gap between it and the base), which seems to be part of the issue. In addition, the gutter has been poorly fitted and is filling up on one side then overflowing, resulting in one of the corners suffering particularly badly with water getting in and mould. Have had screed pulled up and re-laid on one side, but has not helped. Fed-up trying to get original builder to come back out - help appreciated!

Quite simple if the guttes are flooding over the overflow water is splashing down and getting under the wooden base onto the concrete floor. Fix gutter and fit strip sealant between wooden base and concrete floor all way around
