Is it possible to remove a cement render from thermalite blocks?

My builder has f**ked up and built a crooked wall. He now wants to straighten it by building up the render on the crooked side to make it level, but that would require removing the original render - is that even possible as have had a surveyor round to say that it isn't. Thanks all.

Hi,
Yes it’s possible to remove the render just they have to do it with care and attention not to go inside the block .
