Knocking out fireplace

Need advise on how to find if there is a line before I knock anymore of it. * Added 5th May, 2018 : There seems to be some sort of tiles used to support it. I can't see any lintel and iv also stuck my head up there with a torch and can't see anything. Could there be a strip under the arch? Would the arch be enough as the brick support? Need advise on this as still not touched it. Basically there is an arch but i cant see any further support. How should i proceed? https://imgur.com/a/HmP8yBZ
