Bathroom Fitting

Is it possible to use only the tap part of a set of shower head/railing and tap?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.17 PM

Hi there, In your opinion is it possible to assembly this tap https://imgur.com/a/91VrAlz without the shower head, that is seal or close the hole leading to the top pipe going up to and don't assembly the shower head at all, like in the picture https://imgur.com/a/o5wdbr7 ? Here's a part breakdown I could find: https://imgur.com/a/0b0asyd Thanks for any help!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It should be possible using compression fittings so long as the shower connections are one of the standard sizes i.e. 10mm, 15mm or 22mm using a combination of fittings such as, https://www.screwfix.com/p/p923-5-stop-end-22mm-2-pack/38046 https://www.screwfix.com/p/male-coupler-22mm-x/63073 If you can I'd suggest you take the shower riser rail off and take it to one of the proper plumber merchants such as City Plumbing/ Grahams/ Plumbers Merchants etc and they'll be able to tell you exactly what you need similar to the parts above as examples.
