Installing a loft light
Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.39 PM
Hi, I have a ceiling light on our landing. The wire runs up from downstairs into the loft and down again through the ceiling. At the point this comes into the loft, can it be split to run a cable up to the loft ceiling for an overhead light. There are no panels on the walls or ceiling of the loft, so it would just need to run up the wall and along a beam, nothing fancy. Many thanks Jon

Hi yes you can come off this as long as there is a pernament live supply to light other wise this would switch with your landing light. How many cables are at the light?if there is more than 1 then there will be a pernament live.
hope this helps
