3400 Series Burglar Alarm - no power

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

2 days ago, showed fault on keypad as No Power, and shortly afterwards, Battery Low. Few hours later, no power no keypad light. Replaced battery, 3.1A Internal Alarm Fuse, and 2A Unswitched Spur Fuse. Still no power... Maybe there's some sort of reset button/option ? I don't want to reset all the defaults, unless I have to, but can't see anything obvious power wise. Not getting anything through to Keypad from either battery or mains... Nothing else changed power/wire wise. No sign of loose wires or burnt out bits, alarm box looks very clean... Any help would be appreciated, hopefully something simple and not new alarm…

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I would suggest the main control panel has a loss of mains power, if this is trhe case the keypad will not be receiving 12V DC voltage, if the main Electrical RCD board is labled you can check the mains power hasn't tripped on any points, failing this I would call an engineer to check the mains power at the control panel end.

Securi-Tek, I think has pretty much covered everything, if you done everything above, then either the transformer inside has gone or PCB itself. This means engineer visit and most probably replacement of Panel.

Agree with engineers above , if you sure that you've checked all and it still not working then its time to call engineer.
