E9 fault in Worcester Boiler

Anonymous user 15/03/2024 - 2.39 PM

We have just moved home and the boiler was working fine for first couple of days, but is now not working and showing an error message E9. It’s a Worcester Greenstar CDi Classic. Any ideas??

E9 on Worcester Bosch means it's overheating. Unfortunatelly it's usually bigger problem, lack of circulation caused by blockage on pipe/filter or faulty pump. It might be also faulty sensor causing wrong indication or excess of air in main heat exchanger caused by faulty automatic air vent. Sorry but no exact answer to this without further investigation. Kind Regards, Igor Chuchro, Hydro Install LTD Drop me a message what was the fault once diagnosed, I want to rectifie possibilities.
