Front and rear block paving above DPC
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.37 PM
Hello, I’ve recently moved into a new property and have noticed some quite minor rising damp issues to the reveal of the front door and a part of the rear wall. I obviously needs to address this problem quickly. What I believe it to be is the block paving in the front garden is butted right up to the property wall and I’m finding it difficult to locate the DPC so I’m guessing it’s below the block paving. From what I’m reading this is a no go. The back garden paving is on quite a steep slope running towards the house and again the DPC is below the paving in parts. What would be the best thing to do in this situation just to remedy the breach of the DPC not necessarily to have a complete make over of the rear garden or to dig up the block paving. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I know how serious this can become. Thanks
