Any advice regarding plastering over artex ceilings?

Before plastering over artex you need to scrape back the artexed ceiling or wall as flat as possible then primer with PVA then if needed Bond then plaster finish.

Never scrape artex as it may contain asbestos . A plasterer can skim over the artex or overboard and skim .

Plasterboard over and re skim plastering over artex can blow and crack or use thisle bond it a primer that will stick plaster to just about any thing
