Electrical

outdoor lights (mains powered) not switching on

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 2.56 PM

Hi So we have moved home and have a series of out door lights, 1 - 2 wall lights to one light switch in the garage 2 - up lights in the garden and in decking to a second switch on the same set of light switches as the above and the internal garage light. This is all then wired to its own power source in the garage which has a circuit breaker and a 13a fuse plugged in. For some reason i can not get the out door lights to turn on, i have checked the fuse on the mains and it is fine. is there something obvious I am missing? any tips before i call an electrician thanks

All sounds a bit of a diy-ish Installation, to save yourself getting a shock or worse, get a spark in to do it.

Definitely agree with Deacon - Get a spark in, they'll have the test equipment to work out what's wrong and recommend what needs fixing.
