How can I increase pressure to bath taps

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.16 PM

Hi, Limited knowledge here regarding boilers/plumbing etc but I'd like to know how it would be possible to get an increase in water pressure to my bath taps. My existing set up is water storage tank in the loft, vented cylinder, pump. Our mains pressure is low and the pump is set up to turn on only when the shower is on. Is there a way to plumb in the bath taps to the pump? Or is there another way of increasing the bath taps pressure? Thanks! Edit: Is there any way to do this without plumbing the entire house's supply into a pump? We'd rather not have to endure the sound of a pump every time a tap is opened or the dishwasher is on. To be clear, the flow of the hot and cold to the bathroom & kitchen taps are fine. However, the flow & pressure to the bathtub taps are what I'm trying to improve

De-commission your existing shower booster pump and employ a qualified plumber/heating engineer to install a 'Whole house booster pump' link is below. These pumps are manufactured by a UK company called Stuart & Turner are regarded in the trade as reliable and of good build quality, I have selected the type and model you may wish to consider as it provides ample boosted hot & cold water to all tap outlets including your shower. NB: make sure when selecting a suitable installer they are familiar and competent with this modification!
