Hi there. I have dealt with a lot of rotten paramount partition in the past when Fitting both bathrooms and kitchens and there are a few different ways to go, depending upon the extent of the damage. My overall advice as a place to start is: baton the entire paramount partition in a grid using whatever batoning you feel confident with. Use something like a 50mm face with around 18mm depth baton and use anchor/board fixings to secure it in place. Use a lot of fixings, it’s better to over engineer your solution in this instance. Remember: you are creating a new stud wall which needs to be able to hold a load. Plasterboard onto the stud grid as normal and skim. You now have a new wall which you can Tile or hang cabs. I’ve used this method successfully in bathroom cubicles and tiled onto it floor to ceiling, so it works. (make sure you Tank onto it before fitting in a bathroom). When you come to fix your kitchen wall units, hang directly onto the new batons, or alternatively, surface baton the walls and hang your wall cabs onto those. French cleats to hang your wall cabs are another option. If you feel confident about this, go ahead and diy, but my advice is to get an expert in. Hope this helps! Good luck!
