Replacing a wooden window with 3 units with a double glazed unit in an attic conversion

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.37 PM

I have an attic conversion that is made of wood. The wooden window is over 2 metres in length and I had to replace one opener due to rot and now a 2nd opener has blown off. I would like a double glazed unit, but it seems the existing hole is too big for one unit with openings either side of a fixed window, imagine 3 windows in one main frame. Any suggestions on how I could make this window hole smaller and sufficient to hold 2 or preferably 3 smaller double glazed units. The window is not in the roof but in the false wooden front overlooking the garden

Hi kareena you can have one window made over 2 metres with one side opener or 2 side openers if you liked I've just fitted 2 yesterday at 2300 if that helps you or you could reduce the size if that's what you'd prefer quite easily
