In just one of our upstairs bedrooms the walls keep getting black mould and the plaster/paintwork is becoming mottled.

What do you think is causing this and what would be the treatment - the downstairs / other rooms are not affected
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Increase the ventilation, via trickle vents over window heads, or air bricks.
Dont hang damp washing in the room.

its not really possible to say exactly what is causing it , is it an outside wall . could be the roof, guttering, pointing, window frames, lack of ventalation without looking at the problem cannot give an exact reason.
post in the damp section on the site and get one of our local experts out to advise you on the reason for the damp and the cost of a solution
