who provides building regulation approval

Where a chimney breast has already been removed, all the way up to but not including the chimney stack, would I need Building regulation approval and where would I get it from?

Yes u would need building control to make sure the job is carried out properly and safely u can find building control at local townhall ie council or alternatively u could use a private company who can carry out these duties
