Should my lean to conservatory have been attached on top of old render?

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.36 PM

I have had a lean to conservatory fitted across the back of my semi. Where the conservatory roof joins the house wall it has been fitted on top of the old render - should this not have been removed and the fitting made to the brickwork underneath?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes you are correct the render should be removed first, and structer fitted tight to existing wall, making a strong connection to the building .

A channel of render should be hacked off and removed where the walls are abutting the house
